Buffyfest‘s annual March Madness Whedonverse Character Tournament has begun!  This year, however, the contest is a bit different.  Instead of voting for your favorite character, you must vote for whomever is “The Worst of the Lot.”  Click on the link below to vote in round one.  And don’t forget to check Buffyfest frequently throughout the coming weeks so that you won’t miss out on the fun.

The previously rumored guest-spot of perfection will actually come to pass.  Kristin Dos Santos reports that Neil Patrick Harris will definitely be appearing on Glee.  Furthermore, she drops details about his much-anticipated character: “Hold on to your track pants, Sue Sylvester! ‘Cause one solid Glee insider tells me that Neil is playing a character who is ‘really funny and really mean.’  I’m told he will be ‘much more of the Dr. Horrible variety than Doogie Howser, M.D.’”  Read the piece on E! Great news Glee fans, Neil Patrick Harris may (key word is “may”) be guest-starring on the Fox musical this season.  And not only would he be guest-starring on Glee, but he would appear in the episode directed by Joss Whedon himself.  A Dr. Horrible reunion!  I can hardly contain my excitement!  Michael Ausiello reports:

“Neil Patrick Harris is nearing a deal to appear in the May sweeps Glee episode that’s being helmed by his Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog director, Joss Whedon.”

via Exclusive: ‘Glee’ and Neil Patrick Harris to make beautiful music together | Ausiello | EW.com.  The roadblock to this match made in heaven appears to be the competing networks: NPH is currently starring on a CBS comedy, while Glee is on Fox.  Hopefully that impediment can be overcome, and quickly.  Positive thoughts, people.

Great news Terminator and Dr. Horrible fans!  Zach Whedon, one of the writers behind the fabulous super-villain-origin-story-musical Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog, and its comic book incarnations, will be penning a new Terminator comic book series for Dark Horse.  Here is a snippet from his reveal on Techland.com:

I am currently working on a six issue Terminator series for Dark Horse. I just turned in the first script and I’m very excited about it. I love Terminator. I think that movie is so good. Holy Toledo is it good. Now I get to play in that universe and make up Terminator stories of my own that people will get to read. I am not a big-time, famous dude and yet now I am choreographing action sequences set in a post-apocalyptic future overrun by evil cybernetic organisms hell bent on destroying the human race. How is that possible?! I’ll answer your question, Made-Up Person. It’s possible because in comics it doesn’t cost 150 million dollars to tell that story. They can put an idiot like me in charge!

I have only one question: how soon can I purchase a copy?  I’m completely sold.

I’m rooting for “Dollhouse” because it’s doing something different and difficult and it’s not a cookie-cutter show. It can be darkly funny. It has an increasingly impressive cast and terrific guest stars. And even if it doesn’t get everything right, it involves me emotionally on a regular basis. It surprises me on a regular basis. Those are rare qualities.

What is the former Fed Paul Ballard up to signing on to the Dollhouse? He was a good guy last season.

He’s going to definitely be more intimately connected to the house but that doesn’t mean that he’s completely lost his way. Yet.

Are you implying that he’ll be so deep underground that he’ll start to identify with what he’s enmeshed in?

Umm-hmm.

Among the several big shockers last season: Amy Acker’s character is not a Dollhouse doctor, she’s a Doll. Acker’s in a new show [ABC’s Happy Town]. Is she back at all?

Even though Happy Town only has a seven-episode order, we could only get her for three episodes. Networks cooperating with each other is not how that works. We do have some things in store to shake up her world a little bit. The question will come up, how do you live your life once you find out that’s who you are. It might make you a little bit nuts.

Adele doesn’t run everything, does she?

She may not be the boss of everyone but she’s definitely the scariest person in the room. And we get to see some of that Everybody else in the House is afraid of Adele. There’s a reason for that.

Is she a Doll?

I ain’t saying.

Will we get to see that damned attic?

We may just have a visit.

Will there be more Doctor Horrible?

I believe, there will. Yes.
