F.A.Q.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What’s with the name of this blog? Are you a junkie? What’s wrong with heroes? Do you hate men?

The name is a pun–it’s spelled like the word for a female hero, but the addiction aspect is also heavily implied. Men are great and all (especially those boys on Supernatural), but chicks who kick ass are just a bit more awesome. Yes, I am a junkie, but so far my poison is legal.

What’s with the tag-line?  Where is that quote from?

The quote is from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season 7, “End of Days,” written by Douglas Petrie and Jane Espenson.  You should go watch it immediately.  You’re welcome.

Why are you writing this blog? Don’t you have better things to do with your time?

Why yes, I do.  However, I choose to do this anyway.  A girl needs a break from conjugating Latin verbs, and reading about gender theory.

Why do you always seem to side with the villains and mean characters?  What’s wrong with you?

I’m clearly disturbed, and should seek psychiatric help.  Until then, expect to read more about how great Blair Waldorf is, and how much I hate “nice guy” characters such as Xander Harris and Ron Weasley, etc.  Also, Julian Sark and Lex Luthor were clearly just misunderstood.

Why are all the comments on this site from the same 3 people?

They’re all related to me. I make them post comments.  I also choose to overlook their refusal to use proper capitalization and spelling, so don’t complain.  Occasionally you’ll see a name other than Pae Pae, Francesca, or Gianna … but not often.  I’m also happy to note that I have more readers than those who comment.

Why do you say “frak” all the time?  Is that a made-up word?

I shouldn’t dignify that question with an answer.  However, for the uninitiated: “Frak” is a swear word on Battlestar Galactica.  Go rent or buy the DVDs immediately (the re-imagined version, not the original).

What’s with all the pink?  I hate pink!  Your blog looks ridiculous.

I know you are, but what am I?

*OK, no one has actually asked me any of these questions.  But aren’t you glad that you read this information you never knew you wanted to know?

Ok so I just saw the the burning questions thing that Sharon/ #8/Boomer/ Athena/… did, oh my gosh that was hysterical. What else is she in. I feel like she should now be in everything now and everthing in the past that ever was worth watching.
Oh and for the Brandy drinkers amoungst us…well maybe that’s just me, that was a rediculously large glass of brandy

Thank you for providing me with much needed procrastination material.
I love how you command us to go watch tv shows! I feel like I can’t say no. BSG is next on my list!

Ha ha! Well, I am known as a television enabler amongst my friends, so you are just the latest victim. I’m known to just hand out my copy of Firefly, after meeting people once. And I have phone conversations leaving the other party with 12 new things on their DVR. It’s a sickness. Or a gift. I’m not sure.

Randon Question: Have you watched Xena:Warrior Princess? I recently got into it and she is definitely the most badass female character of all time. You would enjoy it.

Also, I love that Anne of Green Gables is in your header picture. :D

Yes, I do love some Xena. It’s a fun show, and she’s definitely bad-ass. And yay for Anne of Green Gables!

Love this! I recently starting a blog (http://toomuchtivo.blogspot.com) and signed my sis and mother up (without them knowing) to receive an e-mail blast every time I put up a new post. Needless to say my sis is trying to get off the mailing list. :)
I am just starting to get some outside readers, other than my family and boyfriend, and it is very exciting!

Great blog! If you get a chance check out my site.

Yeah, that video is amazingly hilarious. “Haven’t you heard of space math?” Hehe. I will have to do some research as to what Grace is doing now–hopefully she will be back on TV soon. I’ve watched some other interviews with her, and with Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck) and they just prove what amazing actresses the two are, as they are both incredibly charming, and NOTHING like their characters. Quality.

Thanks Sara! I’m clearly psychic. Plus, thanks for adding some variety to the comments on the site. You’re still a relative, but hey, now there are 4 frequent commentators ;)
