WEB THERAPY: Season 2 preview
Web Therapy returns to Showtime this summer! Tune in on Monday, July 2nd at 11:00 PM ET/PT to see Lisa Kudrow reprise her role as Fiona Wallice, a psychotherapist who invented three minute sessions via webcam to service her inability to care about other people’s problems. Not caring about her patients’ problems may make Fiona the worst therapist in the world, but therein lies the humor of the show. It is hilarious. Created by Kudrow, Don Roos and Dan Bucatinsky for Is or Isn’t Entertainment, Web Therapy is based on a web series of the same name, originally available online at LStudios.com.
The upcoming season features a crazy number of big name guest-stars, including Meryl Streep, Rosie O’Donnell, Conan O’Brien, Molly Shannon, Minnie Driver, Selma Blair and David Schwimmer. Schwimmer, Kudrow’s former Friends cast-mate, will appear in four episodes, “playing the son of a professor Fiona had a romantic encounter with in college.” Fun times ahead. Also, Lily Tomlin, Dan Bucatinsky, and Victor Garber will reprise their season one roles. Having recently rewatched Alias, I’m especially excited to see Victor Garber’s return as Fiona’s husband Kip. The second season will feature eleven, half-hour episodes. I have posted a couple preview spots below.
