EPISODES: Preview of season 2 & info on how to watch the premiere early
The second season of Episodes is set to premiere on Sunday, July 1st at 10:30 PM ET/PT. Last year, I remember that it took me a few episodes to get into Episodes, but then I was hooked. Besides the fact that Matt LeBlanc has aged very well, there are plenty of reasons to tune into the nine-episode sophomore season of this half hour comedy. Here’s a preview of season two, directly from the press release:
Along with LeBlanc, the series also stars British actors Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig as “Sean and Beverly Lincoln,” the husband and wife writing/producing duo lured to Hollywood to remake their acclaimed British TV series. Season One left off with Beverly and Sean’s comedy, Lyman’s Boys, mangled beyond recognition by the Hollywood powers-that-be into Pucks!, a sitcom about a high-school hockey coach starring Matt LeBlanc. When Beverly sleeps with Matt in a moment of drunken madness, her marriage is left as battered as the state of their TV show. The second season picks up four months later with Sean and Beverly no longer living together, but forced into an awkward working relationship with Matt, as Pucks! goes from a pilot to full-blown series. As Beverly struggles to save her marriage, Matt is determined to save his “bromance” with Sean, and all of them are forced to try to save Pucks! as its ratings start to plummet and the pressure mounts.
Plenty of drama ahead for our characters as they navigate the crazy world of Hollywood. But once again, the series finds the humor in the seemingly dramatic and horrible developments. Plenty of funny ahead. Showtime has made the season two premiere is available to watch early on YouTube; however, if you watch on Facebook, then you can unlock the premiere of the final season of Weeds. Please keep in mind that it is full of adult humor and adult situations, so use your discretion.
I enjoyed the premiere and look forward to the rest of the second season. The insider perspective and self-referential humor mark Episodes as something fun and different in my TV schedule. Oh, and hey! The blonde lady with the excellent expressions (Myra, played by Daisy Haggard) is baaaaaack! Crossing my fingers for more scenes featuring her face. While we wait for more Episodes, check out these fun behind-the-scenes videos embedded below. Enjoy!
