…..but is Alaric really gone?

He will die if he fulfills his goal to kill all 4 Oringinals which won’t happen, because then all vampires would be dead ….so if Esther is right and he is indestructible, he won’t die, but if he won’t die either he will end up in a crypt or tomb or they will find a way to help him and bring him back…right???

What I find super confusing this episode and season is the mythology and the rules. This is pure annoying and I hope they hire somebody better to make sure things make some form of sense. It feels like they change any rule they established before and don’t even try to find a way to keep the mythology intact which takes away the impact because how can I take it serious if there is always a loophole and Esther can kind of do anything.

I agree that Esther can use Elena’s blood to create a new Original, but shouldn’t she need the sun and an old white oak tree?? Where did she drew the power from since all magic has consequences and I guess this one too?? Only from the spot where she died? This seems super unbelievable especially since she praised him to be so powerful ????

Is Evilalaric effected by the sun or wood or vervain?? Logical since she didn’t use it, he shouldn’t be. And how can he be as strong as 1000 yr old Originals if strength comes with the age?? And why did she need him when she was so powerful? And why didn’t Evilalaric and Esther took daggered Rebekah with them to make her stake dead???….the more I think about it all the less it makes sense.

I’m still very unhappy that they never explained why rippah Stefan sometimes rips people apart and sometimes not. Or why they let Stefan say in 3×05 that he couldn’t stop drinking and Elena would be dead, but in the next episode we see him in the opening scene playing bloody twister and he has no problems to just take a sip and can stop without any problem..sigh..
And Sage magical power of reading minds even on vervained Damon’s….ummm…sigh

Despite all that I still love it and I loved the Rippah sl and Klaus, but at the moment they kind of fail a bit. They fail to make Klaus evil and to make clear for the viewers why he needs to die since he is not doing much besides pinning over Stefan (which I love, Klefan is f**king awesome) and Caroline (which is also nice, but redundant). For me they fail to make me believe Alaric is gone forever. I don’t believe it.

BTW I love the Stelaric recap part from last episode….so funny.

But am I the only one who cheered up when I saw Bonnie and understood what was about to happen?
I know Rick’s fate looks horrible now, but he is supposed to live until his task his done – and if his task is killing the Originals, he could stay with us for a very long time ( or possibly forever ).
And maybe I’m just delusional, but if Stefan has almost recovered after ripping people apart, can’t Alaric find a way back to his humanity?
I know Esther created a monster, so this is not just Rick’s dark side emerging, it’s an actual curse.
But Stefan fought Klaus’ compulsion after all, and even Tyler seems to have broken his bond to him – which I thought impossible at the beginning.

So maybe I’m in denial, but I still think there is hope for our favourite history teacher.

Last year my grandmother died right after Jenna’s funeral aired and I felt very stupid.
But like you said, art reflects life and is supposed to upset us, make us laugh and make us cry.
Actually, it’s s not art at all if it doesn’t shake us in some way.

esther is one determined bitch. All the planning all this took….

i expect like you basically from the overall theme of the show that real alaric will show up to pevent evilric from killing his friends and just b4 ric dies.
