GAME OF THRONES: “Power and Grace” and “Seven Devils” Trailers

I have been slacking on my Game of Thrones blogging duties. But it’s time for me to check in and make sure that you have all watched the latest trailers for the upcoming second season. First up, here’s the “Power and Grace” trailer that HBO released a week ago:

Your thoughts? Could Dany be any more awesome? (No.) Also, DRAGONS! And an introduction to Robert’s brother Stannis. Poor Stannis. I’m afraid that he’s the Lady Edith of this story. Robb Stark … such a romantic. Jaime in chains. As Vary’s says, “Power is a curious thing.” Who will be sitting on the Iron Throne when the dust clears? In the words of Cersei, “This is what ruling is: lying on a bed of weeds, ripping them out before they strangle you in your sleep.” Such a glass-half-full kind of lady. Fun times ahead.

And this afternoon, a brand new trailer was unveiled over at EW.com, set to the perfectly chosen “Seven Devils,” by Florence and the Machine. Beautiful, eery, haunting, threatening, and horrifying. War is coming, people. Hurry up, April 1st.
