It’s time to get excited for the return of Friday Night Lights. Season 4 may have already aired in its entirety on Direct TV, but next week it will be available to everyone (well, at least a lot more people). You can catch the premiere on Friday, May 7th at 8/7c on NBC. Are you ready to weep and be inspired? Then mark your calendars. I have already watched the 13 episode season (yeah, it’s a short season), but I’m going to tune into it all over again, starting next week. There can never be too much Coach and Tami Taylor. Or Riggins. Or Landry. Or Matt. There are also several new characters, who may win your hearts.
In case you need a refresher, at the end of season 3 Coach Taylor lost his job, due to the machinations of Joe McCoy. Grrrr. But in exchange, Coach was offered the position of head coach at East Dillon High, the school in the poor side of town. It is supposed to be a demotion, but with Coach Taylor in charge, I’d rather play for East Dillon. Not that I would ever play football … but you know what I mean. Cue the inspirational music and grab the tissues. Check out the teaser trailers for the upcoming season below.
And if you want more of a taste of what’s to come, check out 3 short clips from next week’s premiere, entitled “East of Dillon.” Enjoy!
