New J.J. Abrams Drama Casts Both Leads | Fancast News

2010 January 16

Matt Webb Mitovitch of Fancast News reports that British actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw has been cast as Samantha Bloom, the female lead in Undercovers, J.J. Abrams’ upcoming spy series for NBC.  Previously cast, as Steven Bloom, is the extremely dreamy Boris Kodjoe.  The two will play husband and wife CIA agents.  That is one gorgeous couple.  I’m very excited for another spy drama from the creator of Alias, though Abrams has promised that this show will be very different.  Check out the link below for the sources and further info:

The guy, Kodjoe, was in Love and Basketball, Brown Sugar, and Soul Food. I think it’s safe to say that I already have a crush on him. The woman, Mbatha-Raw, was in Dr. Who, but I’ve never watched that. She’s absolutely gorgeous though, and I have faith in J.J. Abrams’ casting.
