‘Charlie’s Angels’ pilot? – Variety

Variety reports:

ABC is close to giving a pilot order to a modern version of the classic 1970s TV actioner “Charlie’s Angels.”

Josh Friedman, who recently adapted the “Terminator” franchise for his Fox series “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” is onboard to write and exec produce the new “Angels.”

This could be really interesting.  I never watched Charlie’s Angels the TV series, but I did see the Drew Barrymore movies, which were just so-so.  However, I was a huge fan of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and hence, Friedman’s work.  I had hoped that the Terminator show runner would write and produce a new show soon, so this could be a prime opportunity.  If well cast, and modernized in a way that makes sense, this could be awesome.  We shall see.  Click on the link below for the source, and further details:

    hmmm, yeah i never watched charlie’s angels either. i guess it’s the new trend, 1st 90210, then melrose place, now charlie’s angels. i wonder what will be next.
    speaking of melrose place i just wathced a movie last night that had the blond girl from there in it. . .taken.
    well, i did love terminator so hopefully these will be as good.
