‘Gilmore Girls’ creator lands HBO gig – THR.com

THR.com reports that Amy Sherman-Palladino, the creator of one of my favorite shows of all time, Gilmore Girls, has signed on to write and executive produce a new drama for HBO:
Sherman-Palladino will write and executive produce the untitled drama, which chronicles the complicated relationship between three adult sisters, all writers sharing the same upper east side apartment building, and their mother, a domineering literary lioness who reserves most of her affections for their ne’er-do-well brother.
I could not be more excited. It will be interesting to see what Sherman-Palladino does with the increased freedom of a cable show. With the right casting, this could be genius. Click on the link below for the original press release, and further details:
