Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Classic Regency Romance – Now with Ultraviolent Zombie Mayhem!
I heard about this book awhile back, and while I was mildly amused by the idea, I wasn’t dying to read it. I was worried it might read something like fan-fiction (no offense), but I decided to take a look at the excerpt pages on Amazon.com, and I am hooked. It is in my cart now, and I can’t wait to read it during the Summer. Here is an excerpt from the opening paragraph of the book:
“It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains. Never was this truth more plain than during the recent attacks at Netherfield Park, in which a household of eighteen was slaughtered and consumed by a horde of the living dead.”
LOVE IT! In this version, it seems that Mr.Bennet is intent on teaching the girls to fight, so that they can defend themselves against the zombie horde, but only Lizzie has the “killer instinct.” Elizabeth the Zombie Slayer. Hee. Check out the link below for more info.
